Ingredients:
Red bell pepper : 1 (medium sized)
Tomatoes : 2 (medium sized)
Onion pieces : 1/2 cup
Green chillies : 2
Dry red chillies : 2
Pinch of ginger
Cumin seeds : 1/2 tsp
Chana dal : 2 tsp
For Tampering:
Mustard seeds :1/2 tsp
Curry leaves
Method:
- In a kadai heat a tea spoon of oil and add cumin seeds, green chillies, red chillies and chana dal.
- Fry them until dal changes into light brown and take out it into a bowl.
- Now in the same kadai add little oil and fry ginger and onion pieces untill onion pieces turns light brown. Take them out into a seperate bowl.
- Now in the same kadai add sliced red bell peppers and fry them for 3-4 minutes.
- Now add sliced tomatoes and salt. fry them for 8-9 minutes.
- Now grind the chana dal mix first and then add the remaining onions and tomato mix.
- Now make the tampering with mustard seeds and curry leaves and add it to the chutney.
